Internship Locations

Compass Community Church (Winchester, VA)

Compass Community Church is a new church plant branching off from Grace Community Church in Winchester, VA. Compass is committed to helping others find direction in life, family, and faith through intentional Christ-centered relationships. Interns will find a variety of ministry learning opportunities here - including worship, outreach, teaching, preaching, administration, or even design and marketing. Interns seeking a well-rounded experience in a unique church plant will not be disappointed.

Radial Church (Canton, OH)

Radial is a church plant in Canton specifically geared towards transforming the city through a network of missional faith collectives. Recently, they have begun to actively transform their neighborhoods by purchasing and renovating properties to encourage home ownership and small businesses. Radial worship nights gather faith collectives together for times of corporate celebration, prayer, and learning. Interns with a strong interest in entrepreneurial leadership and worship will fit well here.

Smoky Row Brethren Church (Columbus, OH)

Smoky Row is located in a 30-year-old suburb of Columbus, Ohio, the largest metropolitan area in the state. Increasingly affected by the suburbanization of poverty, Smoky Row serves as a connector and hub of networks of hyper-local ministry. The congregation is small, highly leveraged, with a strong history of female leadership as well as influence in the Brethren movement in Ohio and Spanish-language ministry in the city. Interns will be positioned to see the deep needs present in a metropolitan area facing significant cultural change while still holding significant cultural influence. Spanish speakers will benefit from our strong commitment to meeting the needs of this population in our area. Those desiring a collaborative, nimble, mature ministry context, in which institutional assets are leveraged for the good of the community, as an agent of Christ, will fit well.

Park Street Brethren Church & General Conference (Ashland, OH)

This internship opportunity will allow students to explore practical skills in Children's ministry at Park Street Brethren Church and will culminate in the planning and coordination of the Children's conference at the 2016 General Conference for the Brethren Church. Park Street is a growing congregation in Ashland, OH with many new young families. Interns will learn administrative skills, help with camp ministry at Camp Bethany, and be guided through the process of planning a larger scale children's event during the week of General Conference (July 18-22).
