Faithfulness and Beauty

God has been so good to me.

It is sometimes a challenge to recall all of what He has been up to lately, but I know that He has been calling me more and more to Himself. When I think about it, I feel as though He is showing me how to be loved on by Him and how to enjoy him...getting away from my typical "do this, do that" type of thing I struggle with.

It's a constant challenge for me and I am learning more of his grace and love. He is gentle and kind. I find that it's a little difficult for me to grasp God's personality as being unending love and faithfulness mixed with righteousness,holiness and awesomeness...he is all of that all of the time.

I heard a preacher say something once that makes my heart and soul rejoice..."It's like when you go out into the wilderness and you hear all of nature around you and how every part of has a song all of its own. And God bends down so his lips are near your ear and whispers, "Yeah, this is all pretty neat...but I would rather hear you sing a song of praise to me."

It's that mixture of God's greatness intertwined with his deep knowledge and interest in who I am (who we are) that draws me to him. He is teaching me how to be confident in the person he is calling me to be, and to walk without a trace of fear because of who I am in him. I love it!
